#1 Tue, April 28

Ongoing activities and long durational performances by Paula Garcia (Body Crumbling), Rubiane Maia (The Garden), Maurício Ianês (The Bond), Fernando Ribeiro (The Typewriter), and Grupo EmpreZa (Vesuvius).

At night, "Jantar na Relva:” a dinner that requires attendees to remain nude throughout the event. The dinner takes place in the area built for Mauricio Ianês's performance "The Bond".

#2 Wed, April 29

Grupo EmpreZa's fifth Serão Performático is kept minimal, using primarily the artists' bodies: the use of materials for provocation is replaced by the exploration of the limitations of the body. All members of the performance collective perform until the end of the day.

#3 Thu, April 30

Marina Abramovic’s eighth and final lecture focuses on manifestos. Abramovic shares the SESC auditorium stage with performance collective Grupo EmpreZa, who have been performing throughout the past two months as part of MAI Presents.  

#4 Fri, May 1st 

At the “In Between” space, Flagcx, a MAI collaborator in Brazil, present an open workshop with Marina Abramovic to explore new possibilities for performance art through its intersection with technology and science. Flagcx's speakers Luisa Martini, Roberto Martini, and Boo Aguilar take turns talking about the investigation and discussion of technologies related to virtual realities and self-quantifying. They are joined by neuroscientist Adam Horowitz, from MIT.

#5 Sat and Sun, May 2nd & 3rd

On Saturday, curator and choreographer Lynsey Peisinger performs Lynsey Peisinger's Examples of Order and Disorder, a long durational work performed at the “In Between” space of Terra Comunal.

On Sunday, the performance EGÍ <> BIY at the “In Between” space is by performance artist Tathy Yazigi.
